Priyanshu, Arjun and Tarithmay spent years building quick commerce for India's metros at Zepto, Swiggy and Myntra. They knew the playbook better than almost anyone. They also knew it stopped working outside the big cities, where 40% of urban India lives and only a sliver of quick commerce is likely to ever arrive. These are small towns that have not even seen specialty retail, and food delivery.

So instead of shrinking a metro model, they built a new one around small-town economics and the trust people already place in their local kirana. Then they opened their first dark store in Mandya, Karnataka's sugar town, where nobody had ever had groceries arrive in under thirty minutes. Within four weeks Bazaar was taking around a thousand orders a day and today in under a year they are clocking over 12,000 orders per day and growing rapidly. People who had never used quick commerce were ordering five times a month. Peak XV has since backed the team. 450 million people across 120+ cities get the same speed and choice as Bengaluru or Mumbai, and every brand in India gets a new way to reach them.
