Baillie Gifford’s James Anderson joins the Antler advisory board
We're delighted to welcome to the Antler advisory board, James Anderson, co-manager of the Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust at Baillie Gifford.
For many years, James has been at the forefront of investing in how economies have been shifting from being governed by the principles of diminishing to increasing returns, embodied in particular by technology companies, and the tremendous, non-linear opportunities this brings.
James has been the Manager and then Joint Manager of Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust since 2000 and is a co-manager of the International Concentrated Growth Strategy. He Chaired the International Growth Portfolio Group from its inception in 2003 until July 2019 and remains co-manager of Vanguard International Growth. In 2003, James also co-founded their Long Term Global Growth Strategy. Prior to this, he headed their European Equity Team. James has served as a member of the Advisory Board of the government-sponsored Kay Review and as Chair of the subsequent industry working group that set up the UK Investor Forum. James is also a Trustee of Johns Hopkins University.
Magnus Grimeland, founder and CEO of Antler, comments: "We are very excited to have James joining our advisory board. He brings with him tremendous investment expertise and insights to help build the best possible platform for our founders and increase the positive impact our portfolio companies have on both local and global economies."
James Anderson adds: "I am delighted to be joining the advisory board of Antler and look forward to working with the team in enabling founders who are building the defining companies of tomorrow."
