While the number of registered E2Ws in Vietnam increased from 500,000 in 2016 to over 2.3 million units by 2023, corresponding with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 24%, the supporting infrastructure for maintenance, battery diagnostics, and warranty services has not kept pace. This disparity leaves many EV owners without access to essential services that ensure vehicle longevity and performance.
Addressing this critical need, RenewGo—a pioneering tech startup backed by Antler—has officially opened its first Smart Service Center in Ho Chi Minh City. This initiative marks a significant step in solving three critical challenges: battery protection, value retention and financial accessibility for EV owners.
RenewGo's research reveals that 79% of Vietnamese electric motorbike owners cannot extend their battery warranty–the most crucial component accounting for 40% of a bike's value. This leaves users vulnerable to risks like value depreciation, limited financing options, and hesitation when switching from gasoline bikes.
Founded by former CTO at OCB and VPBank, and Senior Director at Citibank Singapore, Anirban Roy orchestrated transformative digital platforms that served millions of customers—expertise he now channels into solving Vietnam’s EV aftermarket challenges.

- Maintenance and Repair: Provides After-sales maintenance and repair services using certified technicians in partnership with EV 2 Wheeler Manufacturers
- Battery Quality Certification: Provides comprehensive battery health assessments using AI and IoT technology, giving owners clear insights into their vehicle's condition
- Smart Warranty Extension System: Enables owners to easily purchase extended warranties online when manufacturer warranties expire, with a fully digital process (to be available through partnership with OEMs)
These solutions not only give owners peace of mind but also bring transparency to the used EV market, opening doors to preferential loan packages from financial institutions.
