Topshelf is a platform for the most honest recommendations in the beauty industry. People are overwhelmed by the amount of beauty products, the constant influx of advertising, and many fake reviews or sponsored posts. At the same time, brands are confronted with raising customer acquisition costs, fragmented data sources and difficulties in building consumer trust. On topshelf, people connect on a B2C-app with their friends or people who are similar to them to share honest reviews. This information (along with user data) is turned into actionable customer insights for brands.
The founding team consists of two members: Sushrut, (CTO) has 10+years of experience in building consumer apps from scratch, and Marietta (CEO) has 8+ years of marketing background with domain expertise from her work at L’Oréal. Both have experience working in startups and scaleups.
Their MVP has been launched within a closed group, receiving great retention and feedback so far (54% retention and >2000 users on the waitlist).
