Antler is a global early-stage venture capital firm. We identify, invest in and challenge the world’s most exceptional people to build groundbreaking technology companies by building a better on-ramp to venture capital for founders to successfully launch a new venture.

Our operations in the United States started in 2019 and was the 4th expansion location of Antler globally. We currently have programs running in New York City, Austin, and Boulder with a mission to continue expanding across the country. Our goal is to provide access to support, guidance and encouragement to founder in the very first days of launching their company and to ultimate help increase the number of people in the United States who successfully pursue their dreams of building a company.

About the role - Venture Associate

Antler is searching for a Venture Associate who is excited to help us design, curate, and implement an incredible community of entrepreneurs, supporting them from idea generation to launch and beyond. Your main focus will be to support the Antler U.S. program in Boulder, working with an exceptional cohort of founders as they launch successful new ventures.

You will report to the lead investors at Antler and will be joining a fun and diverse team of global investing and operational experts who have supported over 350 startups across five continents. The role is highly entrepreneurial, as it will require a combination of growing awareness of startup trends, community building techniques, and quantitative/qualitative skills to assess program effectiveness.

Responsibilities

As the Venture Associate, your main role will be to help ensure that we design and execute an exceptional program for founders working with us on launching their next company. One of the most important aspects of this role is insuring Antler provides a phenomenal experience to every founder we interact with, this will include:

  • Assist the Boulder team to manage a full cycle of the Antler US Residency from onboarding to idea validation, company formation, pitching to investors and beyond.
  • Support early stage founders on problem statement validation, gaining customer feedback, assessing GTM strategy, refining the business model, and fundraising.
  • Manage day-to-day program execution including materials, scheduling, sessions and workshops for our founders.
  • Contribute to our portfolio companies’ development to support their growth and continued success.
  • Support Antler US team to establish relationships and build a community with top advisors, partners, and other external stakeholders.
  • Be a powerful brand ambassador for Antler, develop personal and ecosystem network.

Additionally you will be integral to helping scout, recruit, and identifying top-class founders for Antler:

In additional to your role as Program Associate, you will also have the opportunity to grow your network and help shape the voice of the Antler Boulder office by:

  • Personally identify and recruit high quality founders through your network that you are excited to work with.
  • Work with selected founders to shepherd them through the program successfully, helping answer any questions or concerns they may have and managing logistics with them.
  • Research on market trends and opportunities, conduct due diligence and craft recommendations for the Investment Committee as needed for founders or industry verticals to recruit.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for two core functions in the Antler Boulder office:
    • Scouting, vetting, and recruiting startup founders to join the Antler Boulder residency
    • Helping orchestrate and plan the residency to provide the best founder experience in the Boulder location from the time they are accepted in the recruitment process to their journey to the investment committee and beyond to program end.
  • You will work closely with the Director of the Boulder Residency to help craft and shape the founder experience during the program.
  • Coordinating speakers, events and a sense of community for active founders working with Antler and portfolio companies.
  • Working closely with the scouting and recruitment team to build a clean handover process and onboarding for founders.
  • Scouting new founders and recruiting them to join Antler’s residencies across the US and in Boulder.
  • Collaborating with US Partners and Global team to advance growth of Antler US program design and expansion.
  • Be a powerful brand ambassador for Antler, develop personal and ecosystem network.
