About the role

Our headcount in Australia has been steadily growing and we currently span offices in Sydney and Melbourne. To further strengthen our business development capabilities we are looking to secure a full time Capital Director to join the team.

Responsibilities 

The main focus of the role is to lead capital raising processes for Antler Australia. In addition, you will have an individual fundraising target to be predominantly secured from Australian based investors and support the Antler Australia portfolio companies in fundraising efforts.

  • Project manage end to end capital raising processes amongst new and existing LPs
  • Actively evolve our local fundraising network to approach for participation in Antler funds, as well as portfolio companies
  • Build and maintain investor relation materials, and organise regular investor relations activities (Annual meetings, industry meetings, etc.)
  • Win and nurture relationships with a large group of suited LPs for investments into the Antler Australia funds including family offices, HNWI, corporates and selective institutional investors
  • Support the portfolio companies across Antler achieve funding in their Seed and Series A rounds, and coach them on fundraising from VCs
  • Build out a network of well-connected supporters and advisors that can help broaden the reach of our fundraising efforts

Key attributes & experience

  • Strong track record in building and effectively running sales funnels
  • Strong track record of closing sales opportunities
  • A sound understanding of financial market products and services, ideally in venture capital
  • Strong commercial acumen and intellectual curiosity with proven ability to leverage personal network, e.g. with Family Offices and HNWs
  • Ability to establish a high level of credibility externally and internally (personable, mature, influential)
  • Superior oral and written communication skills  
  • High attention to detail, with a reputation for producing consistent, clear and reliable outputs
  • Proficient in Google Suite
